The National Federation of the Blind of Oregon welcomes all who are visually impaired. We use the term "blind" to mean any level of uncorrectable vision loss affecting one's life. The National Federation of the Blind is an organization of blind people and interested sighted persons. We are convinced that with the appropriate training, attitude, and opportunities, blind people can (and do) achieve their dreams--not the scaled-down dreams of low expectations, but the dreams that come from skills, confidence, and self-respect. We believe that it is never too late to learn new techniques and new ways of thinking. We seek the spark within each of us, a spark which can best be ignited when we come together to teach and learn.

Together we are changing what it means to be blind.
Come join us!
